Pregnancy Preparation Tool

“Ask Google.” That’s often the first step when users today have a question; however, with health topics, search results can range from helpful to harmful. Seeing the wide spectrum of varied and sometimes misleading results for pregnancy questions, Verywell Family wanted to know how they could fill that knowledge gap and be a trusted, timely companion for people on their pregnancy journey.

The Project

Reaching 200M readers every year, Verywell Family is an award-winning, trusted resource on pregnancy and parenting topics, with 5,500+ articles, science-backed research, and a Review Board of certified physicians and recognized experts in the health and wellness industry. Some of the most visited pages on Verywell Family are articles on week-by-week pregnancy stages, common pregnancy symptoms, and how-to-prepare tips and education.

Instead of having users sift through search results of varying credibility, what if there was a trustworthy, knowledgeable companion for the users’ pregnancy journey— a digital companion that could provide timely, foundational knowledge on the most common pregnancy questions and concerns.

The challenge: Of the users who would want a knowledge companion to their pregnancy journey, in what format, length, platform, delivery method, etc. can Verywell Family make this companion the most helpful?
